Flight Pass Rules
When you buy a Flight Pass (FP) to travel on a flight, you enter into a contract with Kenya Airways Limited. Your ticketed booking is governed by Kenya Airways' General Conditions of Carriage, the conditions in your ticket or itinerary and receipt, any tariffs which apply, and our regulations.

The FPo Service is administered by Optiontown Ireland Limited, an Ireland limited liability company, having its registered address at Mespil Business Center, Mespil House, Sussex Road, Dublin 4, Ireland, along with Optiontown, Inc., a Massachusetts Incorporation with its mailing address as PO Box 42 East Walpole, MA 02032, USA (both jointly referred to as "Optiontown" or "OT") on behalf of Kenya Airways Limited.

Please note that these FPo Terms, together with the Optiontown Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between You, Optiontown and Kenya Airways Limited. In the event of any contradiction between the Optiontown Terms of Service and these FPo Terms, these FPo Terms shall prevail.

DEFINITIONS

"Advance Booking" refers to the minimum number of days before your Journey, You can make a request to Optiontown for your flight booking.
"Cabin" refers to the travel class, e.g. Economy Class or Business Class.
"Customer" refers to one or more persons that travel on Kenya Airways Limited and who have signed for one or more of the OT Services.
"Fare Type" refers to the type of fare selected for Flight Pass. Econony class has four choices, Best Buy, Economy, Economy Flex and Eonomy Super Flex. Business class has 2 choices, namely, Business Best Buy and Business. Different amenities and services are available with different fare types, like seat availability, frequent flyer miles accrual, baggage and miles upgrades.
"Passenger(s)" refers to the total number of distinct passengers who can take the advantage of FPo to book Flights and fly. Choose more passengers in order to provide Flight Pass accessibility to more people.
"Flight" or "Flights" refers to the flights operated, marketed, designated or any combination thereof by Kenya Airways. Each Flight (or 1 flight credit) refers to a single one way flight for one passenger. You need to use 2 flights to book a round trip booking for one passenger. "Number of Flights" refers to the number of one way Flights you can take between selected destinations.
"Flight Pass" or "Flight Pass Option" or "FP" or "FPo" refers to the pass provided by Optiontown under the FP Service to its Customers which makes them eligible to book Flights falling under criteria mentioned in these FP terms.
"FP Service" refers to Flight Pass, the service being facilitated by Optiontown on behalf of Kenya Airways.
"Journey" refers to a segment of Flights that may have more than one Flight (like a segment may have both outbound and return Flights or may have connecting Flights).
"Optiontown" refers to the brand name and "www.optiontown.com" refers to the domain name and website of OT.
"OT Services" comprises of the various services offered by OT, wherein each such service is in general referred to as "OT Service". Flight Pass Service or Flight Pass or FP Service or FP is the OT Service for Flight Pass product.
"Travel Period" or "Validity" refers to the time period, whereby You can fly on flights departing during said time period by booking a flight with your Flight Pass.
"Travel Zone" or "Zone" refers to Destination pairs (cities/countries) for which Flight Pass is valid.
"Trip Type" refers to the type of booking (one way, round trip, multi-city etc.) you can create with your flight pass.
"You" refers to a Guest/Visitor, Customer, Member and/or any combination thereof.

CONDITIONS
1. Purchase of Flight Pass and subsequent exchange of Flight Pass for ticketed bookings can only be done through the Optiontown website or through Kenya-airways.Optiontown.com. You will NOT be able to make changes to your Flight Pass, or any flights booked using your Flight Pass, through Kenya Airways.com, Kenya Airways call centres or ticket desks.
2. Upon completing your Flight Pass purchase, you:
a. Get the right to book and fly on 'X' one way flights, departing during the 'Travel Period', for the routes in the selected 'Travel Zone' of the Flight Pass. (Where X= Number of Flights you have chosen while purchasing the Flight Pass) Flights can be booked up to 1 year in advance of the departure date;
b. Trip Type - Agree that a one way booking will consume 1 Flight at a time per passenger, and a round trip booking will consume 2 Flights at a time per passenger. You can book flights subject to your trip type, as given below.
One Way and Round Trip - Customer who have purchased this option, will able to book 'one way' and 'round trip' bookings with their Flight Pass
Round Trip Only - Customers who have purchased 'Round Trip only' can book only round trip tickets. One way travel will not be permitted.
c. You can use your Flight Pass to book flight bookings, subject to your Trip Type, from/to any airport within your selected travel zone as will be listed in the departure and arrival airports in your Flight Pass. Flight Pass also allows you to book round trip journeys where you can arrive and depart from different airports within your selected Travel zone. Even if your Flight Pass allows for one way travel, but still travelling to certain destinations may require a round trip ticket. So, you are requested to check the travel requirements of the country you are travelling to and if a round trip ticket is required for travel to a country, then you must ensure that you have a valid round trip ticket and other valid travel documents as may be required including visa, if any. No claim will be entertained for any denial to enter into a country due to no round trip ticket or invalid/insufficient travel documents or due to invalid visa etc.;
d. Seat availability - The seat availability is linked to the Fare Type purchased with your Flight Pass and is fully synchronized with the same fare type availability on Kenya-airways.com. For example, customers who have purchased "Economy Flex" can book a flight as long as there is availability in at least one of the booking classes associated with "Economy Flex" for the same flight on the Kenya Airways website. The seat availability % probability displayed is only an estimated average number based on historical data, and the actual seat availability may differ.
e. Can add new passengers until the maximum limit of Passenger(s) is reached;
f. Can change the Flight Pass parameters (Zone, Number of Flights, Cabin, Travel Period, Advance Booking, Fare Type, Trip Type, and Passenger(s)) which you have selected during the purchase ONLY after paying the fees as may be specified by Optiontown. To do so, visit the Manage My Pass section once you logon to the Flight Pass account;
g. Can add Special Service Requests (SSRs) to your flight, such as for special meals and disability assistance, at Kenya-Airways.com.
h. Will receive all standard services and amenities (like baggage etc.) associated with your selected cabin in your designated flight which may be subject to change as per normal Kenya Airways operating procedures;
3. You agree and understand that the real time price may be lower or higher than the regular price displayed, hence the savings may be more or less than the displayed amount. You agree and confirm unconditionally that you have taken the informed decision with the clear understanding and knowledge of the above. You irrevocably and unconditionally agree that you will not hold Optiontown and/or Kenya Airways responsible in any manner whatsoever for any difference in regular prices and/or savings displayed and you cannot cancel the Flight Pass due to this.
4. Flight Pass price includes the base fare, taxes and fees for all the Flights purchased, excluding any surcharge that may be levied if you pay by credit card. Service fees may apply for changes to your Flight Pass or for changes to your bookings. However, in the event, the government and third party taxes and fees change between the time of Flight Pass purchase and the time of actual flight booking, then in that case, there may be additional taxes to be paid at the time of flight booking or at the airport before departure subject to operating procedures.
5. Flight Pass prices may vary across different Customers whether booked on the same Flight and having the same parameters.
6. If You wish to add any special service requests (meals, baggage, special requests like wheel chair or others), You will need to contact Kenya Airways directly via Kenya Airways website or over the phone at the contact center for Kenya Airways. Please note Kenya Airways may levy an additional charge for these additional service requests as per regular Kenya Airways policy.
7. You will receive the following when You make a booking under Flight Pass:
a. Economy Class
Baggage - In Economy Class, for all regions except Africa, you will be allowed two (2) Bags of up to 23kg each as Check-In luggage and one (1) bag of up to 12kg as Cabin Luggage. Only 1 Bag is allowed for Domestic Kenya and rest of African flights.
b. Business Class
Baggage - In Business Class,for all regions except Domestic Kenya and East African flights, you will be allowed two (2) Bags of up to 32kg each as Check-In luggage and one (1) bag of up to 18kg as Cabin Luggage. Only one (1) Bag of up to 32 kg is allowed as Check-In luggage and 12kg as Cabin Luggage for Domestic and East African flights.
Lounge and Meals on boards - In Business Class, you will get access to Business Lounge and Meals on board.
c. Flying Blue/Frequent Flyer mileage - You will receive frequent flyer miles/credits as per the Fare Type purchased in your Flight Pass.
8. Flight Pass price is NON-cancellable and NON-refundable. NO refund shall be granted, even if you fail to use all your Flights.
9. Flight Pass is only available for use by adults and children over 2 years of age. You can add infants on the booking after the booking is created by paying the appropriate fares, fees and taxes which may be levied and changed by Kenya Airways from time to time. Flight Pass price is NON-discountable for children.
10. Flight Pass is NOT transferable, and cannot be sold or exchanged for cash. The Journey entitlement under a Flight Pass cannot be altered except as notified otherwise by Optiontown or Kenya Airways.
11. Specific policies and rules, if applicable to Kenya Airways, will be displayed under the Flight Pass Terms and Conditions and would accordingly be applicable to you.
12. No portion of the total Flight Pass price will be refunded in case of any unused Flight credits.
13. Once a Flight Pass has been exchanged for a ticketed Flight booking, Flight tickets are NON refundable. In all circumstances, the Flight Pass remains Non-refundable.
14. Once a Flight Pass has been exchanged for a ticketed Flight booking, cancellation or reinstatement of credit due to No Show or changes to the date and time of travel to a ticketed destination (subject to availability and the original Flight Pass parameters) are permitted to customers subject to paying the applicable fees and fare difference as given below.
a. Freedom Option (Advance Booking limit of 4 Hours, 1 Day or 2 Days) - For customers, who have purchased a Flight Pass with one of the Freedom Options (4 Hours, 1 Day and 2 Days advance booking), the following conditions apply.
FREE Flight change - You are allowed to change your flight for FREE subject to the advance booking limit of the purchased flight pass*.
FREE Flight Cancellation - You are allowed to change cancel your flight for FREE.
No Show - If you are a No-Show for your flight, the first 20% of Flights can be reinstated for FREE. After that, reinstatement fees will be applied as below:
Domestic -- USD 40 per flight per passenger
International -- USD 75 per flight per passenger
b. Advance Booking (3 Days or more) - for customer, who have purchased a Flight Pass with an Advance Booking limit of 3 Days or more, the following conditions apply.
Flight change - FREE Changes for 50% of the flights. Rest with fees
The first 50% of the flights (rounded down to the lower integer) are allowed to be changed for FREE subject to the advance booking limit of the purchased flight pass*. After that, following change fees per flight per passenger will be applied*:
Domestic -- USD 20 per flight per passenger
International -- USD 40 per flight per passenger
Flight Cancellation - 50% FREE Cancellations. Rest with fees
The first 50% of the flights (rounded down to the lower integer) are allowed to be cancelled for FREE. After that, following cancellation fees per flight per passenger will be applied:
Domestic -- USD 30 per flight per passenger
International -- USD 50 per flight per passenger
No Show - If you are a No-Show for your flight, the first 20% of Flights can be reinstated for FREE. After that, reinstatement fees per flight per passenger as follows will be applied:
Domestic -- USD 40 per flight per passenger
International -- USD 75 per flight per passenger
c. The Flight Changes can be done online by logging to your Flight Pass account on Kenya-airways.Optiontown.com. Contact Optiontown at customercare@optiontown.com to cancel your flight or to reinstate your No Show credit.
d. *If a flight change requires a new flight departing WITHIN the Advance Booking limit of the purchased flight pass, then only the change fees as mentioned above will be charged, as applicable. However, if a flight change requires a new flight departing OUTSIDE the Advance Booking limit of the purchased flight pass, then a fare difference will also be charged, in addition to the change fees (as mentioned above).
e. Name Changes - Once You have booked a flight, You can only change a maximum of 3 characters in Your name. Please make sure that You have added the name on the Flight Pass as it appears in Your Passport.
15. For Customers who purchase Flight Pass through the installment option, the deposit amount is NOT refundable in the event that you decide to cancel your booking.
16. The total Flight Pass amount paid will appear in the name of Optiontown. Customers agree that they cannot challenge or dispute a charge if the name appearing on their credit card statement is different than the one mentioned above.
17. To the extent permissible by local law or regulation, these Flight Pass Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with laws of New York, USA. Kenya Airways and each Customer submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New York, USA to resolve any disputes that may arise out of them.
18. If any provision of these Flight Pass Terms are declared void or unenforceable by any competent authority or court shall, to the extent of such invalidity or unenforceability, be deemed severable and shall not affect the other provisions remaining which shall continue unaffected.
19. Optiontown and Kenya Airways accept no responsibility for damage or loss resulting from misdirected or incomplete entries arising from computer malfunctions, viruses, bugs or other such causes. Kenya Airways and/or Optiontown is in no way liable for the reproduction or indirect access via third party web site or home page access which reproduction misstates or omits any of the information or terms and conditions connected with the Flight Pass.
20. Optiontown and Kenya Airways reserve the right to change these Flight Pass Terms at any time.
